BIO

Cameron Cox

Cameron is a Theatre Maker with extensive experience in Stage Management, Dramaturgy and Directing.

 

From Orem Utah, Cox has a BA in Theatre Arts Studies with emphases in Stage Management, Directing, and Dramaturgy from Brigham Young University (See Cameron reflect on this degree for the college publication here). He also has a MA in Media and Performance Studies from Brigham Young University. 

Cameron has worked in theatre academically and professionally for 9 year. His most recent directing credit was BYU’s 2021 Microburst Theatre Festival following previous experience assistant directing BYU’s Much Ado About Nothing.

 

Stage management credits include Murder on the Orient Express, Mud and Mr. Burns: A Post Electric Play for Nevada Conservatory Theatre, Silent Sky andThe Pavilion for A Public Fit Theatre Company, working as an on call assistant Stage Manager at Particle Ink: House of Shattered Prisims at the Luxor Hotel and Casino, Fiddler on the Roof (The last musical to be performed in the historic de Jong Theatre in the Harrison Fine Arts Center), Operas The Magic Flute, A Dinner Engagement, and Bon Appetite for The School of Music, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Romeo y Julieta and Happysadness for BYU Arts Production, Prothero for the Salt Lake Fringe Festival, and several Stage manager and assistant stage manager roles for productions by the Utah Metropolitan Ballet including The Nutcracker, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, The Legend of Timpanogos, Snow White, Tribute, Copellia, A Midsummer Nights Dream and Peter Pan.

Dramaturgy credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Illusionary Tales, The 39 Steps and Escape from Planet Death.

Cameron has also worked as properties coordinator for Nevada Conservatory Theatre's Productions of America La Ronde, Pride and Prejudice, Mr. Burns: A Post Electric Play, A Skeptic and a Bruja, The Seance Room, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Climate Shorts and Wolf Play.

 

Cameron is currently pursuing an MFA in Stage Management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
